James brings a breadth of knowledge to his teaching from over 20 years experience working in the creative sector. Inspired by the language of mechanical/industrial process and engineering, he uses this knowledge to innovate design solutions for the specialist automotive sector. James' personal practice is commissioned widely across the U.K.
Julie is a textile designer, researcher and educator, specialising in woven textiles.
Valija is an art historian, textile specialist and writer who has focussed her career around the historical context of dress and textiles.
Katerina Knight is an award winning English Textile Artist and Journalist.
Nick Brown - Lecturer, HCA
Ash graduated in 2008 with a degree in Graphic Communication and has since been active in the industry; having set up his own design partnership specialising in branding. He loves how the industry work and teaching fuel one another, and how his experiences help benefit student learning.
