with Sally Kingston

This course aims to show you how to use a sewing machine and then complete mini projects such as: a simple cushion cover, bunting, a handbag and a free motion decorative embroidery picture to take home and frame. You will learn how to lay out, pin and cut a simple pattern, sew straight lines, wavy lines and how to turn corners, different types of seams, hems and finishes on fabric. The course includes step by step guides, and the patterns for all projects so you can make them again at home. If you want to sew but are scared of the sewing machine, then this course is for you.

Basic materials will be provided (tailors chalk, scissors etc.) There will be some fabric swatches available to you for practising technique you will need to bring your own fabric to make your items in your preferred style/décor.
