Amelia Fletcher is an artist studying on the BA(Hons) Textile Design degree.

About my work:

Revival aims to restore ornate design within interior textiles.

 Taking inspiration from the Baroque design style, this collection of woven and printed textiles explores the subtle details such as intricate stone carvings and delicate plaster work, while taking a contemporary approach to colour and material, emphasising how the interaction of light and shadow on these intricate surfaces further highlight their detail. 

DISSERTATION: How does hand craft in textiles support wellbeing? And how are contemporary textile makers and organisations putting it into practice?
