About the 2026 MA Contemporary Crafts Graduate Showcase


Join us for the culminating exhibition of six exceptional graduates from MA Contemporary Crafts, each presenting a distinctive body of work realised at professional standard. 

Exploring material, process and concept this exhibition demonstrates the rigour of their practice, the refinement of craft and the sophistication of theoretical thinking. This showcase offers a compelling window into disciplines where making, meaning and material converge - from bespoke objects to nuanced interventions in the field of contemporary and heritage craft.

The exhibition is located on the ground floor and is fully wheelchair accessible. If you have any specific questions around accessibility, you can contact the course leader Del Done ahead of your visit by emailing d.done@hca.ac.uk

Yes, attendance is free and open to the public. 

Yes — there will be a private view (invitation only) with the students present. Public access then opens the following day and continues for the full ten-day run.

Meet the Makers - Event Engage, Discover and Connect

Join us on Saturday, 17th January at 14:00 in the exhibition space for a Meet the Makers event. This is a unique opportunity to connect with the exhibiting graduates, ask questions, and gain insight into their inspirations, creative journeys, and MA projects.

 Throughout the week, students will also be invigilating the show, offering further chances for informal conversations and a deeper understanding of their practice.

Postgraduate Open Evening

On Thursday, 15th January from 17:00 to 18:30, there will be a Postgraduate Open Evening. This event features a campus tour and a guided viewing of the showcase, providing prospective students with the chance to explore the facilities and meet the graduates. Attendees can learn more about postgraduate study at Hereford College of Arts. Please register at Hereford College of Arts | Postgraduate Open Days .

Yes - in many MA shows pieces are available for purchase or commission. Visitors are encouraged to enquire with the event host on-site about any items marked “for sale”.

We are delighted to celebrate this year’s MA Contemporary Crafts Graduate Showcase – a true testament to the creativity, dedication, and exceptional talent of our postgraduate students. Each maker has taken their practice to new heights, demonstrating not only creativity but also critical engagement and theoretical depth. The work on display is both visually striking and intellectually stimulating, and we are extremely proud to see our graduates presenting at such a high professional standard.

MA Contemporary Crafts

Develop and extend your creative practice with this project-led course. Artistic expression is supported through tutorials, seminars and access to a wide range of craft workshops. We have developed an exciting blueprint for the course which brings together craft practice, theory and professional practice.
