Ruth's practice explores links made between body, identity, and landscape; an examination of the notion that humanity might be defined by how we work the soil. Found and assembled vernacular materials augment a ceramic practice where compositions are realised as sculpture, photography and wearable conversation pieces.
Ruth developed a career in social Photography with her husband Oliver, our Photography Technical Demonstrator. They share their home in rural Herefordshire with two boys, a scruffy black dog, far too many books, lego, and gaming figurines.
