Popular Music: Enrolment Information

We are delighted that you have chosen to join us, and we look forward to meeting you again and getting to know you over the coming year. Hereford is a wonderful place to study, and the college campus is a friendly and creative space. 

We value your ambitions and individuality, and the course has been designed with this firmly in mind. Your musical ability will be accelerated by working with specialist tutors both through 1:1 and group sessions. 

Naturally, you can look forward to a variety of opportunities to make music: composing, rehearsing, performing and recording your work. In doing so, you will develop relevant personal and practical skills. You will also be involved with the local music scene, promoting and managing gigs, as well as yourselves as artists/musicians.

Academically, the opportunity to study, discuss and share your practice should generate a more in-depth knowledge and understanding of the subject.

As a relatively small department, we can offer a supportive environment whilst also offering a more diverse and vibrant experience by learning alongside students from other year groups.  In addition, you will be given opportunities to work in collaboration with other courses, practitioners and institutions on exciting projects.
