Munich; The new TALENTEmünchen 2026 lists the highlights, scope and ambition of this year’s international showcase at the International Craft Fair (International Handwerksmesse), bringing together work by 86 emerging designers from 25 countries. Spanning disciplines from textiles and ceramics to metal, glass and product design, the exhibition reflects a strong engagement with sustainability, cultural heritage and social change.

We are proud to report news of the continuing achievements of Artist Blacksmith graduate and current MA Forged Metal Arts student Cameron Pearson. Building on last year’s success as recipient of the New Designer of the Award at the New Designers graduate show at London's Business Design Centre Cameron was selected to exhibit at the prestigious Talente exhibition during Munich Jewellery Week this March.

The Talente exhibition showcases work by emerging designers, craftspeople and artists from across Europe. Open to recent graduates and young makers' work is selected from applications. Each year there are 700 or more applicants for just 86 places in the show, so competition is fierce and being picked to exhibit is quite a coup.

I was recommended to apply for Talente by my tutors. I knew it was an amazing opportunity though there would be stiff competition. But if you don’t try!!! I was ecstatic to be selected by the panel, such a privilege to be chosen. Although I knew that this was a prestigious event, I hadn’t truly grasped its scope and scale until I actually walked into the exhibition hall in Munich. Each work was given its own highlighted zone within this vast, high quality gallery space. It had a great atmosphere. I really enjoyed talking to people about their work; there was such a high standard of work on display, and everyone had such a sound understanding of their practice, talked about their work with such clarity and confidence. I was proud to see my sculpture set in this amazing exhibition and to get feedback from people, both in conversation and with them tagging me with photos of my work posted on social media. It was reassuring to get these comments and to see people appreciating my work. That meant a lot to me. Munich Jewellery week was a brilliant opportunity to make lots of connections with people and see current innovations and best practice in craft and design by makers from across Europe. The experience has added inspiration to my MA work and made positive foundations for my future career.
