Welcome to MA Photography at HCA

We would like to welcome you to the MA Photography programme at HCA. We have really enjoyed meeting you at the various events and interviews that have led up to your offer of a place on the course.

The regular taught days each week for lectures, seminars, tutorials and group activities will be Monday and Thursday, usually commencing at 10 am.

Remember that if you are based in England or Wales, you can apply for student finance.

Enrolment will take place on Thursday 24th September 2026 at 10.30am. Please go to the College Road Campus, College Road, Hereford HR1 1EB, where we will meet you in the college café around 10.00am. On this day, you will receive your timetables and details of your course.

Details on fees and finance arrangements can be found on the online Digital Information Pack.

The Registry and Finance office will be open from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm throughout the summer; please call 01432 273359 or email registry@hca.ac.uk should you require any further information.

In September, we will set up the MA Photography social media groups, which can be used to contact each other about news and events relating to the MA – the group name will be sent to you via email so that you can join if you have an account, and you can also follow the Photography Instagram profile on @hca_photography

Over the summer, we would like you to continue to research, read, collect, make, experiment, visit exhibitions and engage with the subject matter that you are interested in developing on the MA Photography. We would also like you to bring a copy of your MA proposal, to your first session.

Have a great summer, and we look forward to seeing you in September!

Best wishes,

Manuel E. Gross

(Course Leader) & the MA Photography team
