Illustration and Illustration & Animation: Enrolment Information

Welcome to BA (Hons) Illustration & BA (Hons) Illustration & Animation at Hereford College of Arts. We are delighted that you have chosen to join us and we look forward to getting to know you properly in the new term.

On this page you will find equipment and reading lists, plus a project to undertake, which we hope you will enjoy doing during the summer. 

Don’t worry if you cannot afford to buy the books/magazines on the list, we stock them in our library. One or two may be worth adding to birthday lists as they are useful sources of inspiration. Read about them online and get familiar with the sorts of things they are dealing with. Try to get in the habit of keeping up with arts-related news through various media. The Guardian and BBC are best.

Don’t think you have to buy everything on the equipment list either. We do have the basics which you are welcome to use, but it is best to start building up your own quality resources.
