2026 Diploma Show by Dan Harris/Sentury

Join us for a showcase of talent that spans two campuses, four courses and hundreds of pieces of work from some incredible emerging artists and designers.

What is the Diploma Show?

The HCA Diploma Show is an annual celebration of final project work from students working across some of our art, design, communication and digital media courses.

The exhibition kicks off with a Private View for friends, family and stakeholders - and then the campus is open to the public for the duration of the show.

Featuring more than 100 creative students exhibiting works across the full spectrum of art and design, the show is the largest group show in Herefordshire and an excellent opportunity to get a first-look at work from the next generation of artists before they move on to degree courses or into employment.

Branding for the 2026 Degree Show and Diploma Shows comes from BA(Hons) Graphic + Media Design student, Dan Harris.

Which courses are showing work at the Diploma Show?

The 2026 Diploma Show features work spanning the full spectrum of art and design - from illustration and textile design, to games design and film production.

Public performances for our music and performing arts students take place earlier in the term, so the Diploma Show exhibition only features work from the following courses:

Post 16 diplomas

  • Level 2: Art and Design / Creative Media Production and Technology
  • Level 3: Art, Design and Communication / Creative Media Production and Technology

Post-18 diplomas and mature students

  • Level 3: Foundation Diploma in Art and Design
  • Level 3: Portfolio course (Part-time Foundation Diploma in Art and Design for students aged 21+).

Schools tours

During the Diploma Show we love to host larger groups from schools and tour them around the exhibition. It's a great opportunity for younger students to see what they could achieve in art and design, to talk to older students, and to visit a specialist arts school campus. If you are an educator interested in arranging a school visit during the show - or at any other point in the year - you can reach out to our team using the link below

Where is the Diploma Show?

Due to the number of students showing their work, the show is split across HCA's two campuses. Work from our Post-18 Foundation Diploma in Art and Design is on show at our College Road Campus, along with final work from mature students on our Portfolio course.

Work from students on Post-16 Diploma or Extended Diploma courses will be exhibited at the Folly Lane campus, including at Studio 18 which is a short walk from the main campus buildings.

The Diploma Show is a public exhibition showcasing the final projects of graduating students from art and design programs.

It's the culmination of a major piece of academic work and an opportunity to present it to the public, industry professionals, and potential employers.

HCA's end of year shows - and final performances for our music and performing arts students - are a big moment for our entire creative community. They showcase the diversity of creative talent, inspire other students, and bring together our wider network of artists, designers and creative professionals.

  • Engage: Interact with the artists, ask about their work, and provide feedback.
  • Share: Promote their work on social media platforms.
  • Connect: Offer opportunities, collaborations, or mentorship.
