These are items you will be expected to bring with you to college. Please ensure that you have all these items available for the first day of term:

We require all students to store their work on Microsoft Teams and/or Microsoft 365. You will receive tutorials on this technology in your first few weeks on the course. However, it is always useful to make a backup of your work, either on a hard drive or pen drive. In addition, we recommend you have access to IT and an internet connection at home. If this is unavailable then you are free to use our IT suites, outside of class time, which are open 5 days a week 9.00am to 4.30pm.

All suitable items must be clearly labelled with permanent marker pen.

Please note – the items marked by an asterisk (*) are available from the college shop, which is located in Reception at the Folly Lane campus. Opening hours during term time are:

Monday – Thursday: 8.30am – 4.30pm

Friday: 8.30am – 4pm

Students can wear their own clothes to and from college, but in classes between 9am and 4.15pm students are expected to wear the HCA Uniform. HCA t-shirts can be pre-ordered by emailing name and size (S/M/L/XL) to a.lines@hca.ac.uk.

Starred items are for costumes and assessments and must be the same. Please order via the link provided. Please ensure that the students have these by 31st October 2026.

Please don’t feel you have to buy everything brand new at HCA we are dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint by finding ways to be more sustainable. You can buy pre-loved performance clothing off Vinted, Facebook Market Place or websites such as A la Second.
