2026 Degree Show - brand design by Dan Harris

BA(Hons) Graphic and Media Design

About the designer:

I am a research-led graphic designer with an interest in creating thoughtful, concept-driven visual outcomes. My work begins with understanding context and purpose, allowing me to develop ideas that feel considered and visually purposeful.

About this project:

After researching current issues, excessive screen time became a clear concern. Offline is a conceptual medication which, when taken, removes the eye’s ability to see RGB colours, making screens disappear from vision. I was inspired by retrofuturism, particularly its connection to the 1980s when technology began to rapidly develop.

Through my research, I felt we are still in a similarly transformative time, where technology’s possibilities feel exciting, but also increasingly overwhelming. I wanted to bring in modern design and minimal use of language to reflect the decline in attention spans, which can be linked to excessive screen time.
