Chloe Edwards

2026 Degree Show - brand design by Dan Harris

BA(Hons) Fine Art

About the artist:

I am a multidisciplinary artist. I explore the themes of gender, identity, self expression, and the ideals of beauty.

In earlier work, I have also been interested in childhood and nostalgia. I am inspired by artists like Jenny Saville, Gillian Wearing, Anna Mendieta, and Lucian Freud, etc. I enjoy experimenting with a variety medium’s and experimenting with different techniques to expand my practice.

About this project:

I work with a range of mixed media, focusing on self-portraiture, identity, and self-scrutiny.

My work challenges the ideals of perfection by confronting insecurities and revealing the imperfections behind the mask and beneath the makeup. By revealing the different personas we present, I explore the complexities of wearing makeup as both a concealing tool and as a means of self-expression.
