Abbie Taylor

2026 Degree Show - brand design by Dan Harris

BA(Hons) Fine Art

About this work:

My work focuses on developing my understanding and interest in the figure, I use humour and its different types such as slapstick or dark humour and themes of the macabre as a subject to explore the figure. Which encourages more imaginative thinking and experimentations with the imagery and scenes I paint, while also allows for more spectacle and intrigue.

I approach my work through expressive style to allow a look into the process of my work which plays on my interest in visual narrative storytelling. I also find inspiration in the aesthetic of pop art and its own inspirations from film, culture, comics, and its expressive visuals and colour.
