Lisbee Stainton is a professional singer-songwriter. By the time she graduated from Goldsmith’s she had already released her first album.
In 2007, she became the first unsigned singer-songwriter to play London’s O2 Arena. Support from BBC 6 music’s Tom Robinson, who described her as, “a serious young talent”, led to her debut single, ‘Red’ being play-listed by Radio 2 and her second album, ‘Girl on an Unmade Bed’, subsequently receiving critical acclaim from the UK’s national and music press. Joan Armatrading personally chose Lisbee to be the main support act for her UK and European tour and shortly afterwards, Lisbee was a featured artist on BBC Radio 2’s prestigious ‘In Concert’ series. She continuously tours and has supported artists such as Judy Collins, Paul Carrack, Ben Montague and Gretchen Peters.
2013 has already been a busy year for Lisbee. It has included her own UK tour as well as touring with Seth Lakeman and writing and recording her fourth album, ‘Word Games’, which is due for release in October 2013.
