Biography

Margaux Lucas is a professional freelance dancer from Ellicott City, MD, USA who began her ballet training under the guidance of Donna Pidel at the Ballet Royale Institute of Maryland.

Marguax was one of the first dancers to join the Ballet Royale Institute of Maryland's pre-professional program, which incorporated the American Ballet Theater National Training Curriculum. From 2012 to 2016, Margaux competed as both a soloist and ensemble member in the semi-finals and finals of the Youth America Grand Prix. Between 2010 and 2017, she attended prestigious summer intensive programs at American Ballet Theater, Rock School, Gelsey Kirkland Academy, Alonzo King Lines Ballet, Kaatsbaan, Complexions, and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA).

Margaux earned her BFA from UNCSA under the direction of Susan Jaffe (former ABT principle) and Brenda Daniels (former Cunningham company member), where she worked closely with Gaspard and Dancers company. Before relocating to the UK she received her American Ballet Theater NTC certification, allowing her to teach the curriculum to her students. 

Since her move, she has completed a Master’s degree in Business and is currently an associate lecturer at the University of Worcester. In addition, she teaches at Translucent Dance Studio. 

Margaux has been teaching dance for 8 years and is deeply passionate about teaching and inspiring the next generation of dancers, sharing her extensive knowledge and experience to shape the future of the dance community.
