Learn to create hand-bound books and zines exploring decorative techniques. For illustrators, painters, collage artists, or anyone looking to get creative with a new skill.

Overview

Step into a lively one‑day dive into zine‑making and artist books, where creativity comes first and the rules are delightfully loose. You’ll explore fast, expressive formats from cut‑and‑paste collage zines to inventive folded structures, using simple materials to create small publications.

Across the day, you’ll experiment with sequencing, layout, and the relationship between image and text, building pieces that can be personal, political, poetic, or purely playful. We’ll also look at how artists use zines and handmade books as platforms for self‑publishing, storytelling, and creative experimentation.

Whether you’re an artist, a writer, or someone curious about DIY publishing, this workshop offers a welcoming space to explore ideas, try new techniques, and leave with a small collection of your own handmade works.
