We are looking for an Outreach and Student Recruitment Co-ordinator to be a passionate champion of Hereford College of Arts (HCA), creative education and careers in the Creative Industries.

Salary:  Upto £27,328 per annum

You will help drive forward our partnership-led recruitment strategy, coordinating and delivering outreach activity, events, workshops, and programmes that inspire and support the next generation of creative students.

The Outreach and Student Recruitment Coordinator is one of the College’s most prominent public-facing roles. Working closely with colleagues across the institution, the postholder will play an essential role in the delivery and coordination of outreach and recruitment activity that raises the profile of our courses, the College and the value of creative education with prospective students, teachers, advisers and external stakeholders.

The Outreach team is a central point of contact for prospective students and a trusted source of information about HCA’s courses, culture, and approach to creative education.

The role includes representing the College at UCAS fairs and recruitment events; delivering engaging presentations to groups of students, teachers and advisers; visiting key feeder schools and colleges and coordinating on-campus taster sessions and outreach activity with curriculum staff. You will also play a vital role in maintaining accurate outreach and recruitment data, producing routine reports and newsletter communications and helping ensure engagement activity is informed by strong recruitment intelligence. Travel across the region will be an essential part of the role, alongside routine evening and Saturday working to support recruitment events and College activity.

We are looking for someone who is a confident communicator, highly organised and motivated, and able to build strong relationships with schools, colleges and key stakeholders. You will be comfortable presenting to groups, representing the College professionally and tailoring activity to the needs of different audiences and partners.

A strong interest in creative arts education is essential, alongside enthusiasm for supporting progression into creative study and careers. Experience delivering workshops, outreach or teacher CPD activity would be welcomed, although subject-specific sessions will often be delivered in collaboration with academic staff and students.
