Letty is an artist who’s practice explores the removal of tactile nature within society. These enquiries, often materials led, take form through installation, sculpture and curation. Works explore the juxtaposing position between low fidelity and high culture through materiality in rejected objects, reinventing them and offering a new intention.
Beginning her training at Hereford College of Arts as an Undergraduate, Letty graduated in 2016 (BA Hons Fine Art), then again as a Postgraduate in 2018 (MA Fine Art), and then completed her Postgraduate Compulsory Learning and Teaching in Higher Education through Manchester Metropolitan University in 2019. Letty began to work with HCA in 2016 and has worked on FE and HE courses across the levels. She also teaches painting and drawing in interim workshops and short courses at HCA.
