This course provides an introduction to the Performing Arts Industry. It will provide those who are excited and motivated by performing to an audience with the first steps to explore, develop and demonstrate their skills.
You will be introduced to equipment and processes used in the performing arts, and the skills necessary to be confident and reflective performer. You will be supported to develop an understanding of how research is used to support performance and related activities together with developing an understanding of the role that communication skills play in informing and developing ideas.
You will be given multiple opportunities to perform to live audiences within a range of collaborative pieces, developing new performance skills and knowledge that aim to support your progression to the next level.
Further to this you will be experience a range of disciplines such as; ensemble singing, movement, acting, improvisation and voice, whilst gaining a foundational knowledge of the industry to inform your own progression.

This broad experience of Performing Arts will prepare you for progression onto our Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts.
Minimum 2 GCSEs Grade 9 – 2 (A*- F). It is highly desirable that you achieve at least a grade 3 / D or above in English or maths, interview & audition.
