A painting genre that has an extraordinary ability to transcend time is the art of still life. In this course students will explore the techniques of both acrylic and oil, using still life as a tool for observation and see how the identity of the material can add meaning to the image and offer endless creative possibilities for the imagination. The course will run in two halves, with an introduction to acrylic followed by an introduction to oil, allowing for sustained time with each material.

Suitable for beginners, or those wishing to develop their confidence in painting. Basic materials and brushes are supplied to get you started, you will be advised of any additional materials and brushes required depending on what you would personally like to achieve.
