Drawing for Beginners

Drawing is where it all begins, and this comprehensive course is our recommended first step. This course is designed to develop your knowledge and confidence in drawing while creating a body of work, by focusing on different skills each session. You will discover a wide variety of methods and participants will be encouraged to experiment freely and keep a sketchbook to help discover their own personal artistic styles. With a focus on traditional drawing materials, as well as more unusual mediums, we will investigate line, tone, mark-making, still life, drawing the head and figure from models, as well as more abstract and expressive approaches.

Notes. Suitable for beginners or those wishing to develop their confidence in the fundamentals of drawing. Absolute beginners could ideally take this course in conjunction with Lexi’s Painting for Beginners course. Basic materials supplied to get you started, you will be advised accordingly of any additional materials required depending on what you would personally like to achieve.
