COMMUNITY PROJECTS
We always try to take the arts into other parts of the Community, working with youth groups, working under the lifelong learning policy and with the extended families network, delivering twilight and weekend arts activities in community centres and schools.
We have worked closely with Concern Universal, delivering very successful animation and ceramics workshops at the College. Currently, we are collaborating on a major African textiles project.
We recently held a brilliant Urban Art / Graffiti workshop at the Teme Valley Youth Centre, covering their community room walls with a stunning range of images.
A collaborative project with the Schools and co-ordinated through the Art Teachers' forum, is the Bull Hoardings around the old Cattle Market in Hereford. Fourteen schools enthusiastically took part in the project which saw bull silhouettes decorated with the students' interpretation of Herefordshire, installed on hoardings in Newmarket Street - admired by many local residents and visitors to the area.
We welcome enquiries from any part of the community and are always happy to work with the local community on creative, media, music and performing arts projects -email: schools@hca.ac.uk.
