Web Design Using Dreamweaver

The aim of this course is to equip you with all the skills you will need to design your own website. This course, taught by an experienced web designer, will cover a comprehensive introduction to site design, management and maintenance. This course uses Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 but is applicable for students who use other web design software packages. Prior experience of web design and development is not required but students must be proficient with using Windows operating systems.

Desktop Publishing with Adobe Indesign

The aim of this course is to equip you with the skills required to design your own leaflets, adverts or catalogues for home or business with Adobe InDesign. This course covers the essential skills for layout of images and text with added extra tips and tricks for making dynamic and professional designs. This course uses Adobe InDesign CS5. Prior experience with Windows operating systems is essential.

The aim of this course is to meet the needs of architects, design professionals and artists who are seeking an introduction into drawing and modelling on a computer. This course will teach you the basic techniques to create and communicate 2D and basic 3D drawings, including using the drawing tool bar, working with layers, blocks and symbols, 3D tool palettes, dimensioning, plotting printing and basic animation. This course uses AutoCAD 2008. Prior experience with Windows operating systems is essential.
Drawing with Adobe Illustrator

Drawing with Adobe Illustrator

The aim of this course is to teach you all the skills required to confidently use this vector based programme. This course will teach you to create smooth crisp graphics, perfect for illustration, using tools to create logos and other accurate drawings, which have many uses, such as technical diagrams, repeat pattern making, cutting and importing into animation programmes such as Flash. You will also learn how to trace placed images and use a drawing tablet to draw freehand using Illustrator's brushes. This course uses Adobe Illustrator CS5.

Digital Imagery with Adobe Photoshop

The aim of this course is to give you a comprehensive introduction to Adobe Photoshop. You will be given the opportunity to discover the main features of the programme and explore the use of layers, effects, text, saving images in different formats and manipulating images ready for print. This course will enable you to input, edit and output images for screen and print. Thsi course uses Adobe Photoshop CS5. Prior experience with Windows operating systems is essential.
