Daphne Everett first saw the garden at The Bannut at Bringsty with her husband in May 1984 and decided immediately that this was where they wanted to live. This illustrated talk will guide you through how the garden has developed, over the last 28 years, from a green field to a garden that is today full of variety and interest, including a ‘taster’ of the latest and possibly last big project – A Diamond Anniversary Garden (the owner’s, not the Queen’s!) which is being planned and planted for later this year. The latter part of the talk will take the audience on a tour of the present-day garden at various times of the year – taking in the rhododendrons, azaleas and magnolias in the Old Goat Paddock, the herbaceous displays in the various garden rooms, the secrets of the Secret Garden, the colourful half acre summer heather and much, much, more www.bannut.co.uk
