Last night we attended the launch event of ‘Further Beyond Words’ a book of poems and and short stories by Herefordshire men who use creative writing to help them deal with anxiety, depression or other mental health issues.
It was great to see past students gather together with Paul Stevens, Mayor of the city of Hereford, Euan McPherson, Chief Executive, Services for Independent living and Mandy Pritchard representing HCA.
Monty Don has written the foreword for the book which is illustrated by Foundation Diploma Art & Design & Portfolio students.
The book is available for purchase from the Services for Independent Living website www.s4il.co.uk with all proceeds going to support Hereford Men’s Mental Health Group.
