How to apply for College-Level Courses

We've got lots of advice to help you with your application to study at HCA.

Applying for a College-Level Course is really simple.

Come along to one of our popular Open Events that are usually held in the autumn and spring terms. We publicise the dates in the local press and through schools and colleges. These events will allow you and your parents/guardians to meet tutors, view the College and its facilities and learn more about careers in art, design, media, music and the performing arts.

The application deadline is normally 31 March, however we will always consider late applications. You can download the Further Education Application Form here.

Once you have returned a completed application form we will write to you and invite you to attend an interview and/or audition and send you guidance notes to help you prepare. The main aim of your interview is to give us the chance to get to know you, it also provides an opportunity for you to see if you are going to be happy studying with us. All applicants will be asked to produce a short piece of written work and complete a literacy and numeracy assessment as part of the interview process.

If you'd like to discuss anything further, please get in  touch with our registry team - We are happy to talk you through the process.
