High Town Hoardings Project
Date: 06/06/20112nd Yr National Diploma Art & Design students Rhys, Hannah, Harry, Rhys, Lucy & Martin jumped at an opportunity to be involved in a community project to keep the 'High Town Hoardings' vibrant and exciting during the work that has to be done in the wake of the fire damage to shops in High Town early this year.
Supported by College staff, the students spent 3/4 days whitewashing, drawing and painting the hoardings and chatting to the many passers-by who stopped to comment and congratulate them on their work.
The students designed their own work but worked as a team to make sure it all flowed to create an overall piece. As part of his final project, student, Tyler Harvey-Roberts photographed the work being done as a time lapse study. Image - by Rhys Atkinson 'Rheboks love Reeboks!
