If you wish to make use of this facility please read information listed below, to help you choose suitable media and to ensure you provide us with any necessary details relevant to your job.
- To decide on the most suitable media, please consider:
The type of image you want to print? - Is it photographic or graphic?
What will it be used for? - Will it be framed or hung, does it need to be very portable? How much do you want to pay?
- To decide on the size, please consider: The size of the space it is going to.
How will it be mounted ? Will it require a border - what is the required size of the image on the required size of media?
- How urgent is your deadline?
If files are delivered to the college at the beginning of the week, they should be ready for collection at the end of the same week. It may not always be possible to print in a shorter time, any prints that are requested sooner may incur an extra cost.
- If Colour matching is essential for your image, you may wish to pay for a proofing strip, which you may wish to approve before full-scale printing. If you are unable to call in, you can supply us with a small-scale copy, which has satisfactory colour, for us to use as a reference.
Payment will normally be in advance.
In the case of a requested proof, a payment of 25% is required, the rest to be paid on approval of proof.
Please ensure you bring something suitable to take your finished print away in.
NB. Files can be delivered to the College via CD/DVD or USB removable devices.
Files should be 300dpi at 100% or in the case of extra large images 300dpi at 50% will suffice. File formats can be PSD, PDF, or JPG (If Jpg is used please ensure it is at maximum quality) any Fonts used in your imagery, should be embedded.
