Masters of Metal – Alan Dawson

Last week we had a great lecture from Alan Dawson as part of our Masters of Metal series , he arrived at College Road carrying a guitar and we were all surprised and very impressed  when the lecture started with a song all about his career as an Artist Blacksmith and Designer , it was a unusual beginning , his lecture was so inspiring . Over his career Alan’s worked on some extraordinary projects and very ambitious  projects , he’s worked as a sole trader and also run an business employing large teams of staff and his work can be seen all over the world from Dubai , Singapore through Glasgow .

Alan was very generous and shared all his wisdom and insights with the students and  peering into a student sketchbook after the lecture I read ” what a legend ” and he was ! Thank you Alan
