Dave also takes on organising and coordinating the Blacksmith Stand, associated forge-ins and competitions at the Royal Welsh Show and he came in recently with Adam to look at all the second and third year work that is up for assessment, and also talk to students directly about participating in the Royal Welsh Show, entering competition and forge competitions. It’s a great event that we really work hard to support, although it’s always a challenge as it takes place in late July when the students are all on holiday, either at home or working for other blacksmiths. Dave is a great supporter of the course and the College and it was lovely to show him what they had been up to.
