As a programme we are members of NHIG, the National Heritage Ironwork Group. On 20th February the Rural Crafts Centre at Holme Lacy is hosting a seminar on best practice for cleaning, protection and coating of historic ironwork.

This promises to be a really interesting seminar: although focussed on restoration and historic ironwork, all the same challenges of coating and protecting forged metal apply to contemporary forged metal design and so many of our students have already booked up to attend.
