Dr Carmel Conn came for lunch last week to celebrate her latest publications on Inclusive Autism Education. Arabella Simpson, Charlotte Phillips and Miranda Smith, all 3rd year Illustration students, were commissioned to Illustrate these books by Carmel and Routledge Press.
Routledge were so struck by Arabella’s bold illustrations that they used them for the cover design, Miranda’s experience has firmed up her resolve to pursue a career Illustrating text books and Charlotte is going on to train as an art teacher next year. She may well use these text books herself one day! A great project, thanks to Carmel who was an ideal client with fascinating subject matter. AV
