School Workshops

Our fantastic range of Masterclass workshops running throughout the school year brought to you.

Our talented Graduate Ambassadors are available to teach and inspire your students from the comfort of your own classroom! Our workshops are an ideal way for students to discover more about Art & Design at Further Education level & and a fantastic opportunity to experiment with processes in a safe and fun learning environment. With no travelling required, they’re hassle-free and we will bring everything they need to you. Each workshop runs for up to two hours and includes a short introduction about Hereford College of Arts before the students roll up their sleeves and get creative! We don’t charge for the delivery of the workshops, however, we do ask for a £25 materials contribution per event.

Examples of previous workshops:

Art and Design

Our Letterpress workshop gives students the opportunity to expand their creativity & design skills by utilising traditional print processes to create colourful and innovative, typeface-based art work.

Mark Making
The process of Mark Making can be applied to many different materials and surfaces, from paint on canvas, ink, charcoal or pencil on paper to a digital paint tool on a screen. Our Mark Making workshop focuses on using tape to create shapes, forms and images.

Wire Drawing
This creative and engaging workshop gets students exploring 3D shapes and forms using wire.

Our Typography workshop encourages students to think about language and teaches them to reinterpret it in an expressive, creative and truly unique way.

Why not book a performance from our second year music students? The performances showcase the very best from our Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music and cover a wide range of styles including Pop, Rock, Reggae, Acoustic and much more. The shows normally last around one hour although, where possible, we can tailor the duration to fit your timetable and they also include valuable information about the course and studying at Hereford College of Arts.

We also offer inspirational, hands-on workshops in a variety of areas including Improvisation, World Music and Songwriting. Delivered by our talented teaching staff, these workshops are an excellent addition to a student performance.

Our workshops are a brilliant way for students to take part in an engaging and practical workshop in addition to discovering what makes studying at Hereford College of Arts so special.
