We're looking forward to welcoming Professor Geoffrey Crossick, Chair of the Crafts Council and Professor of Humanities at the School of Advance Study, University of London, to HCA College Road campus this Thursday 14th September.
Professor Crossick will be giving a talk and discussing his work leading the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s major Cultural Value Project. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain insight into some of the key themes of the project.
The Cultural Value Project has been described as one of the most extensive, wide-ranging and challenging attempts ever made to grasp the crucial difference that engagement with arts and culture makes to individuals, society and the economy. Key findings are based on more than 70 new pieces of research into a wide range of areas such as the value of arts and cultural interventions on health and wellbeing, and the relative impact, in terms of regeneration, of major cultural buildings versus small-scale studios and galleries.
Everyone is welcome - the talk is open to external guests, as well as HCA staff and students. To reserve a space, please email your name to Gail Curley at email@example.com
- Date: Thursday 14th September
- Time: 4.30 - 6pm
